About the event
Come move your body and sit in stillness with this yang leaning Hatha class, meaning it will start slow to wake up your joints and practice some breathwork, pick up the pace for a flow in the middle, and then slow back down to relax and integrate. You will need to bring your own yoga mat, and any props you like. Two yoga blocks are most helpful for this type of class. Please also bring a water bottle to ensure you are staying hydrated!
Classes will be held June 11th and June 25th from 7:45am - 8:45am. Cost is $25. Pre-pay via Venmo (@flowing-roots-yoga) or pay at the door. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to get set up. Cowbell opens at 9:00am, so stick around for your well-deserved brunch! Don’t have time to stay and eat? You can pre-order through their website for take-out!
Sarah has been practicing various types of yoga for the last 12 years. She first came to yoga after a low back injury at 18 years old and quickly realized the array of benefits it offered, not only for her physical body, but for her psychological and spiritual bodies as well. In 2020 she completed her RYT-200 for Hatha and Ashtanga in Kerala, India where she studied in depth yogic philosophy. Recently, in 2023, she completed her 50 hour Yin training, which is the primary form she teaches today. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and brings this background into her teaching. She is dedicated to her own energetic healing journey and is passionate about sharing her gifts with those who are placed in her path. Her new yoga business, Flowing Roots Yoga, is now open at her home in Berryville, VA. She teaches Hatha and Yin classes there every week, as well as riverfront classes every other Saturday. You can follow her on Instagram or Facebook to keep up with her scheduled offerings.
